Every day, he works at a fast-food restaurant called Donnie's Burger Joint where he spends his day flipping burgers and doing the usual work. He finds his job very demanding and exhausting but must work to make ends meet. He was recently kicked out of his parents' house which also added to the struggle he was already facing. These events made him spiral downhill emotionally and physically. This stress gets him addicted to narcotics.
